COVID-19: Health Service Commission Receives Consumables From Okeowo Foundation
The Lagos State Health Service Commission has received 1000 units of food consumables donated by the Joshua Okeowo Foundation. Receiving the donations on behalf of the Commission, the Director, Human Resources and Administration, Mr. Phillip Dosunmu, expressed gratitude for the benevolent gesture exhibited towards frontline health workers in the battle against the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic. He said “This move by Joshua Okeowo Foundation, is a laudable one at encouraging our frontliners across the 27 Public Health Facilities in the State. On behalf of the Management and Staff of this formidable agency, I sincerely thank the initiators of this considerable kindness, even as we encourage spirited Nigerians to emulate the laudable gesture”. In her remarks, the representative of the Joshua Okeowo Foundation, Dr. Lara Oyadotun, stated that the initiative was part of the three projects which the foundation initiated towards public empowerment. She said, “This initiative is intended to encourage frontliners who are doing their best and risking their health towards curbing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic within the State. It could only be imperative to have such a presentation via Lagos State Health Service Commission in effecting this purpose. Following this gesture, would be a review which we could definitely want to reconsider in the near future at ensuring more worthwhile donations”. “We would particularly want to foster the relationship we have with these healthcare providers in future, by doing more of such contributions”, she added.
